Mechanical Plaque Control

Mechanical action is the primary method of controlling dental plaque. The disruption of dental plaque on a daily basis appears to be critical in counteracting the negative effects of dental plaque. Optimal oral hygiene require not only the patient’s motivation and instruction, but also the appropriate tools. This book¬ summarizes¬ the fundamental concepts and recent advances in mechanical plaque control and techniques for plaque control around teeth and dental implants.
