Myriad Memories: A Memoir

In the memoir written by Parashuramrao Gande entitled”Myriad Memories”,the author portrays his life as it is.He writes about ups and downs,sweet and sour experiences,dark and bright moments.Born in a middle class family rose to a remarkable stage in his life by dint of his hard work.His book”Myriad Memories”reflects the common man’s life further the problems,the common man faces in his life.The author is very much interested in participating in literary activities.He participated in many literary conferences,literary and poetry festivals in many states like Uttara Pradesh,Bengal and Andhra Pradesh etc and recited his poems.
He describes the places he visits,narrates his experiences he cherishes with other poets he meets during the literary tours he makes.Literary atmosphere pervades his entire book.the author’s love for nature is revealed in the book.His visits to the places like Darjeeling,the Gangasager in Bengal depict his love for mother Nature.His keen observation of things of nature like mountain ranges,rivers and oceans can be traced in the book.His visits of temples of Srirangam,Aruna Chalam,Varanasi,and bhubaneswar speak of his love of spirituality.In a way the book “Myriad Memories”,is a collection of significant recollections.When ever he goes on literary tours either he is accompanied by his friends or follows them.Thus his love for friend ship is seen in the book.He underlines the significance of friendship in the present memoir.
