This book is written in simple easily understandable chapters which will serve to enhance better awareness on the importance of human nutrition. Human Nutrition is a defined Science; a new and dynamic field which allows us to know ourselves from our general health and wellbeing perspective.
It is also an emerging topic of discussion. After all, why should it not be? As we all are very conscientious of our health and looking for that extra awareness which will provide us with a healthy living and wellness in our advancing years.
Introducing philosophy has a great bonus which goes hand in hand for the understanding of wellness. I believe that our WELLNESS is the accomplishment of our health and general well-being in relation to our spiritual being as a part of our greater cosmic existence.
Philosophy combines two Greek words Philein and Sophia and means Love of Wisdom and helps us to guide our destiny in life for the common understanding of the broader issues we are likely to face through our life’s journey.
It is my sincere wish and desire that readers will develop a taste and curiosity to learn more by reading other books and publications on the broader subject of human nutrition. I have tried to put the context into simple everyday language without losing sight of the actual subject matter and where possible and appropriate have introduced elements of spirituality to making reading more pleasant and engrossing.
Let Your Organs Breathe
I immigrated to Australia from India in July 1971 to undertake his PhD studies in biochemistry. I then joined the pharmaceutical industry via multinational corporations, Fisons and 3M, where I successfully developed a broad range of pharmaceutical products and researched into their medical application. I also won the Circle of Technical Excellence from 3M (International).
After meeting with late Bob Lucy, one of the pioneers in advancing the use of nutritional supplements in Australia, I successfully transitioned to natural therapies working across research and development, manufacturing and quality control. I retired from commercial assignments as a General Manager at the age of 52 and started my own company with various interests. I still continue to be involved in the industry but in a much less involved way.
Now at the age of 76, I intend to share the knowledge that I have gained from over 45 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. My writing is based on the firm belief that good nutrition and a healthy mind, body and soul is the key to living long and meaningful lives.
