Dr. S. Poornima Dr. S. Poornima is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering at Presidency University, Bengaluru. She had 17+ Years of Teaching Experience With a specialization in Deep Learning and Cyber Security. She has made significant contributions to the field through her research, teaching, and professional engagements. She received DST-WOS-A project Grant on ? Detecting and preventing information leakage in software for security and intellectual property protection? in May 2012. She also received PU-Seed Grant on ?Smart Mesh Switching Radio Frequency (RF) Attenuator system and method thereof? in Jan 2024. Dr. Poornima earned her Ph.D. in Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Presidency University in 2024. She also holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering from SVS Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, and a B.Tech. in Information Technology from Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai. Throughout her career, She has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor at MLR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, and SR Engineering College, Warangal. She has been with Presidency University since 2020, where she currently serves as an Assistant Professor - Senior Scale and Academic Coordinator for multiple departments. Herresearch interests lie in the areas of Deep Learning, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. She has published 40+ Research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, including IEEE and Elsevier. Her work on automated malware detection, memory leak detection, and feature extraction for anti-malware applications has been widely recognized. In addition to her research, she has been actively involved in organizing and speaking at various workshops, seminars, and webinars. She has delivered talks on topics such as neural networks, machine learning, and deep learning applications. She has also organized several faculty development programs and workshops on cybersecurity, data warehousing, and quantum computing. Dr. Poornima has been awarded multiple accolades for her contributions to academia, including the Best Paper Award at ICACCS-2023 and the Best Faculty Award by India's 100 Women Achievers, GlantorX Media. She is a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education and holds memberships in several other professional bodies.
