Description

This book is a compiled collection of accounts and a research of more than two years. This book includes three chapters: the Raj, Gospel and the Eurasians. Each chapter describes the genesis of the community, its expansion and the atrocities faced by the people due to the political acrimony. The major reason to compile this book was to preserve the historical records and to make the community aware of their past. The two authors Harshit Gupta and Deep Raj Fredrick have done a lot of hard work to edit and compile this book. Every possible step has been taken to retrieve the historical records available in the various international libraries, on the digital archives, baptismal-burial records present on the European cemetery websites and by taking personal interviews, just to rewrite it in the most communicable way. The two authors hope to make this book blessed by every venerable resident of the society and to make it available to all the history enthusiasts.

The title ‘The Gospel in Goruckpore’ is inspired by the book “the Gospel in Gonda” written by S. Knowles, a Methodist Missionary.

This book was released on the Republic Day of our Nation.
