Rajeev Uberoi grew up in Bhopal and was a student of Scindia School (Gwalior), Campion School, and Hamidia College (both in Bhopal). He is a Canadian Commonwealth Scholar with a Master's degree from McMaster University and has earned multidisciplinary degrees including an L.L.B, an M.A. (in Economics), an M.B.A. from the Management Development Institute, in Gurugram, and a Ph.D. (in Economics). He is a highly regarded banker, and in his 35-year career, has worked with several domestic and multinational banks like the Standard Chartered Bank, the Reserve Bank of India, Citibank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, IDFC Holding Company Ltd. etc., in different eminent capacities. He has also served as Addl. Director, Institutional Finance, for the Government of Madhya Pradesh for four years. He was a Senior Group President - Governance and Controls with Yes Bank Limited. He is presently a senior advisor and board member of many listed companies. A prolific writer, Rajeev has many publications to his credit, including his latest book: The Road Less Travelled - Memoirs of the Uberoi Family, which chronicles the history of five generations of his family. He has won many accolades and awards, and his contribution to the legal fraternity is widely recognized in the industry.
