He graduated from JIPMER, Pondicherry and trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, The University of Nagoya Japan, Volklingen Germany, and University of Sydney, Australia. During his 44 years as a medical specialist Dr. Choudhuri, has been the professor and head of Gastroenterology at the Sanjay Gandhi PG institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India, president of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and has played a leadership role in developing liver and digestive health care in the country. He strongly believes that awareness and health issues, helps an individual live better and tackle challenges more effectively when they come.
