Victor Cyprian D’Almeida, born in 1938, has spent eight decades observing life, gathering stories, and cultivating a deep love for literature. Without formal writing training, he believes the richest storytelling comes from lived experience and genuine curiosity.​ ​ The Oak and the Sapling is his debut—a blend of biography, autobiography, and fiction inspired by real events and reflections. He lives in Mumbai with his wife and youngest son's family, while his elder daughter and son live in Canada with their spouses and children. His professional life spans finance and administration roles across Mumbai, Oman, and the UAE. His interests include reading, cinema, and culinary exploration.
