Tarun Singh was born and raised in Jammu, India, where his early exposure to India’s spiritual and cultural heritage sowed the seeds of a lifelong fascination with Vedic wisdom. After moving to the United States in 1998, Tarun continued to nurture this connection while building his professional and family life. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and an MBA, and works for a large global consulting firm, where he combines analytical thinking with a passion for human-centered leadership. He now lives with his wife, Simran, and their two children, Arjan and Aryaa, who continue to inspire his journey of learning and creativity.
Deeply passionate about Indian Vedic teachings and their enduring influence on science, mathematics, medicine, and philosophy, Tarun strives to bridge ancient knowledge with modern understanding. His interests extend beyond philosophy to include reading, painting, and astrophotography each offering a unique lens through which he explores the beauty and mystery of existence.
Through his work on the Kaṭha Upaniṣad, Tarun hopes to make the timeless wisdom of India’s spiritual heritage accessible to the modern seeker, presenting it in a way that is clear, practical, and relevant to contemporary life. His goal is to inspire reflection, balance, inner growth and values that transcend time and remain as vital today as they were in the age of the Upanishads.
