From Manipur, Northeast India, Kaikholal Lhouvum, a banking professional, felt compelled to share his family's deeply personal journey through infertility and faith. Born and raised in the Thadou community, he has spent his career in the banking sector while maintaining strong roots in his local church and community.
Kaikholal and his wife, Ngailun, experienced a five-year journey of waiting for their first child, during which they navigated medical treatments, societal pressures, and seasons of doubt and faith. Their story took them from Guwahati to Tinsukia to Imphal, where they ultimately welcomed not one but three daughters: Mireya, Moimoi, and Joykim.
Though not a professional writer, Kaikholal felt compelled to document their experience after recognizing how many couples suffer in silence through similar struggles. His banking background taught him the value of careful documentation and clear communication—skills he applied to capturing the emotional and spiritual complexities of their journey.
Mireya is his first book, born from the conviction that their story of waiting, faith, and God's ultimate faithfulness needed to be shared with others who might be walking similar paths. He continues to work in banking while remaining active in his local church community, i.e., the Siliguri Laizon Fellowship.
Kaikholal currently resides in Siliguri with his wife, Ngailun, and their three daughters. When not at work or writing, he enjoys spending time with his family and serving in his local church.
