Dr E. Thirunavukkarasu served for thirty-seven years in various positions within Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous organisation functioning under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The KVS oversees over 1,250 Kendriya Vidyalayas (formerly known as Central Schools) in India, as well as three abroad. The author served as a teacher for over eighteen years, an Assistant Commissioner (formerly known as an Education Officer), a Director of the Zonal Institutes of Education and Training, and a Deputy Commissioner for over eighteen years. His qualifications are B.Sc. (Chemistry), B.Ed., M.A. (English), M.A. (Psychology), M.Ed., and M.Phil. (Educational Technology), Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling and PhD (Education) He conducted over 200 in-service training courses for teachers, office staff, and principals during his service. He also published over 100 training-plan booklets, manuals, reports, and study materials as KVS publications. In addition, he has co-authored two books on guidance and counselling. His academic articles have appeared in national newspapers. After retiring from service in 2018, he resides in Chennai and participates in writing, teaching and training events.
