My name is Divya Babu. I was born in Vadakara, a serene town in Kozhikode, Kerala, and have called the United Arab Emirates home for the past 34 years. I completed my schooling in the UAE and later earned an engineering degree in Kerala. While my roots are deeply embedded in India, the cultural richness and experiences of life in the UAE have played a meaningful role in shaping who I am today. Although I began my career in engineering, motherhood reshaped my journey. As a mom of two, I wanted to guide my children through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences rather than relying solely on theoretical teaching. This led me to pursue a course in Early Years Education and transition into a career as an Early Years Teacher?a role that aligns perfectly with my love for young children and the belief that "A teacher's touch ignites the flame of a child's earliest potential, illuminating the path of who they will become." Growing up, I was an avid reader and often wrote short stories in both English and Malayalam during my school days. Though I drifted away from books for a while, I?ve recently reconnected with that passion. ?The Hinge of Light? is my debut work?an imaginative blend of mythology, archaeology, and time travel. While I never pursued mythology academically, it has always intrigued me deeply and continues to be a subject I love exploring through storytelling.
