Arpan Banerjee is a seasoned strategist, passionate mentor, and the debut author of The Unicorn Hunter's Handbook (and Other Mythical Startup Beasts). An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Bangalore, his three-decade career includes leadership roles at IBM, TCS, and Wipro, where he built deep expertise in strategy, sales, and digital transformation. Drawn by a curiosity for innovation, Arpan founded Orion Consulting Services, working hands-on with early-stage companies for nine years. He helped founders scale, fix the cracks, and drive growth. This hands-on experience, including hard-earned lessons from a couple of his own ventures that didn’t quite take off, gave him a raw, ‘from the trenches’ perspective on the real-world challenges of building and scaling. Today, Arpan serves as a fractional CXO and transformation advisor, helping businesses achieve sustainable growth with less jargon and more clarity. He focuses on refining go-to-market strategies, building high-performance teams, and aligning execution with vision. When not advising founders or writing about elusive creatures, Arpan mentors young entrepreneurs, collects startup clichés, and quietly wonders why hockey stick graphs refuse to die. A state-level chess player and avid bridge enthusiast, he’s also a die-hard football fan, history buff, and unapologetic OTT binge-watcher. He lives in Bangalore with his wife and college-going son—and still dreams of discovering a forgotten castle beside a river with decent Wi-Fi for a perfect weekend getaway.
