- Arav Jain is a high school physics student with a deep curiosity about the universe. From the smallest particles to the largest cosmic structures, he enjoys exploring questions that push the boundaries of understanding. An avid backyard astronomer, he has ranked among the top 50 teams in CERN’s Beamline for Schools (BL4S) competition and interned with a radio astronomer. These experiences sharpened his skills in observation, analysis, and experimental design.Beyond research, Arav is passionate about making science accessible, sharing complex ideas in ways that inspire curiosity rather than intimidation. He has built his own radio telescope to study the cosmic microwave background, amongst many other passion projects, and he enjoys blending physics with mathematics, music, and creative problem-solving. Driven by both imagination and rigour, he hopes to continue uncovering the universe’s mysteries while encouraging others to see it with the same sense of wonder. He has also received a bronze honour in the finals of the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition. Arav regularly shares his insights through articles on his website, altumspatium.com.
