Advaya and Ambara Kashikar are 13-year-old twin brothers from Ahmedabad. They study at Mahatma Gandhi International School and love writing, drawing, reading, and exploring anything that sparks their creativity. Most of their ideas grow through collaborative teamwork: imagining, talking, and building stories together. Their journey as writers began when they started observing and gently feeding the street dogs in the Pragatinagar neighbourhood where they live. What began as curiosity soon turned into daily storytelling. The dogs’ little adventures slowly became big “What if…?” conversations, and those conversations eventually grew into the Dog Street Series. They know almost every street dog by name and often imagine what the animals are secretly thinking, planning, and feeling. When they’re not writing, Advaya and Ambara enjoy making art, sharing ideas, reading fantasy, and dreaming up new characters. They are grateful to the dogs, cats, monkeys, and birds who quietly inspired this book. The brothers hope their stories encourage kids and grown-ups to look more closely at the world around them, be kind to animals, and notice the tiny adventures happening in everyday life.
