A.N. Prasanna was born in 1943. A graduate in Electrical Engineering, he is interested in literature, theatre and cinema. He has published seven collections of short stories. He has been conferred many significant awards. He translated Gabriel Garcia Marquez`s Nobel Prize Winning Novel One Hundred Years of Solitude into Kannada. He wrote the script for and directed a TV Serial and a feature film. He has written critical articles on award-winning films in international film festivals of the previous and the present century. He served as a member of the jury of the Asian Films Awards in the 6th International Film Festival, Bengaluru.
